Goodbye Bangkok
Our finally evening in Bangkok was a little more relaxed than the
first. I ate at a food market (Vietnamese food this time to get myself excited
for our winter vacation) and Lee being the naughty man he is encourages a
shopping spree like no other. In Thailand the clothes are phenomenal
and so cheap that it’s rude not to buy anything.
I hate shopping for myself so It took a lot
of coaxing but I left with two new dresses, a top and a great pair of shoes.
All under 20 pound.
This building was called 'um tower' and looked far too much like someone pulling their butt cheeks apart. Yes we are still children! |

infamous Thailand toasties |
We also stocked up on all necessary items
that we have been missing in Korea.
(A lot of this was gotten at the Tescos on Koh Samui…that’s right A TESCOS UK PEOPLE!)
It mostly consisted of American and English
chocolate as well as antiperspirant which is stupidly expensive in Korea
as well as some ‘do it yourself’ Thai food packets. I definitely have the cooking bug after our
trip.

Thailands King is every where you look in Thailand. |

We were a little worried when we saw the
hour long queue at the airport the next day but without bags to check we were
sneakily allowed to skip the line.
From then it was a restful wait in duty
free where I was allowed to buy something I’ve been dreaming of for a long time.
Mac Ruby Woo red lipstick!!!! Half price of
the UK duty free…thank you Thailand.
A plane ride and 2 films later we had a
short stop over in Taiwan.
Disney goodness! |
Seeing Taiwan instantly perked these weary
travelers up. It was so clean and very beautiful. We know that they need
English teachers too so it definitely gave us something to consider. Especially
after seeing the incredible Disney store they had.
But we couldn’t stay and we were soon on the KTX back to lovely Daegu.
It was a whirlwind 11 days and I loved
every moment of it.
I can’t believe we have already been here long enough to be having summer
vacation but I am already counting down the days to September’s holiday when we will celebrate Korean Thanksgiving in the only way
possible….in TOKYO!!!
So after 3 countries, 5 cities, 2 Islands, 1 Jungle, 5 planes, 12 trains, 3 ferries, 3
speed boats, 4 buses, 4 shuttles, 2 Tuk Tuks, 1 canon, a few trucks and
countless taxies we are home. Safe, sound and ready for bed.
